Pepe the overachieving burro!

What the heck could this have to do with the Internet? It could be applied to a lot of things, but my Aesop Fable is being delivered after telling this tale to one of my PICs (people in charge) and them telling me I should start posting not only advice about the web, but advice about business and finance in-general as well so here we go!

The story of Pepe the overachieving burro is one we can all relate to. He was a bit smaller than the other burros growing-up, but that only strengthened his resolve and his back for carrying heavier and heavier loads of goods for his master. Pepe had established himself as the greatest burro of all-time by carrying the load of two burros for many years and then one day, Manual the Enormous was brought-in to carry the load of 4 of the "ordinary" burros.

This made Pepe very mad and he demanded that 4 loads be placed on his back to show just who was boss around here, so they did and Pepe's back broke almost immediately.

The morale of this fable is: Don't be an ass and try to do all the work yourself as it will eventually consume and kill you. Share the load, work together and recognize when others do things better than yourself and use that to your advantage.

Have your own business challenges? Share them and I'll do my best to not make a burro out of myself.
